Our new Powder Coating Innovation Centre in Peterborough opens in June. Using the Innovation Centre, powder coating companies will be able to develop new products and processes, produce samples, and conduct feasibility trials.
The Innovation Centre will include a Baker Perkins MPX24 Integra twin-screw extruder, plus grinding, curing, test plate spraying and oven facilities, as well as full analytical equipment to process results.
Companies from around the world will be able to carry out comprehensive trials, providing a reliable basis for trouble-free commissioning of a new plant or launch of a new line. Customers are guaranteed total confidentiality, working alongside Baker Perkins’ powder coating technologists.
The MPX24 Integra is a complete process system in one unit with integrated feeder, chill roll and flaking unit. It is designed for research and small batch production of powder coating and toners.
The Integra delivers repeatable results that are consistently reproduced on production scale machines – the extruder geometry is identical across the range, so the recipe and settings scale up precisely. Accurate, high quality results are achieved first time.
The new Innovation Centre underlines Baker Perkins’ capability as a full service organisation committed to providing complete process support. Our Lifetime Support philosophy covers parts and service, upgrades, rebuilds and process advice throughout the lifetime of a machine.
